How Does IT Interact With Biology?

Bioinformatics is the research of biological information through the use of Computer Science and Information Technology. The results of Bioinformatic research are derived from a variety of biological data, which is focused on genomics, the analysis of genes, and proteomics, the study of protein structure and functions. Bioinformatic data is drawn from a computer search, as the computer finds connections between the treatment of biological data and potential uses. Bioinformatics is also used in other biology and medical areas, such as research in plant fungi, bacteria prevention measures, and in animal medication.
